A New Chapter for WC&C

Hi, I would like to introduce myself. I am the President of Component Assembly Systems Inc. / Component West. It is my honor to represent the membership of WC&C, following in the esteemed footsteps of my predecessor, Michael Weber, who for more than 20 years exemplified true dedication and set a standard of excellence for us all to aspire to.

As we look to the future of WC&C, I am excited to share my vision for our collaboration. Together, we can embrace the following key principles to strengthen our companies and regain the exclusive status enjoyed by previous generations.

Our Focus Moving Forward

We will:

• Develop and support initiatives that foster productivity and promote operational efficiency.

• Work to stabilize material expenses, secure pricing, and support subcontractors in achieving sustainable profitability. Just as we manage labor professionally, materials should be a stable and calculated cost.

• Demand that jobsite safety is prioritized, adopting the mantra: “All workers shall go home safely and injury-free every day.”

• Discuss and adopt new technologies that deliver efficient solutions, eliminating the tedious tasks that consume valuable time.

• Identify and address the increasingly onerous requirements placed on today’s project managers, advocating for automation and systems that enable the efficient exchange of information.

• Think outside the box. To remain relevant in today’s evolving landscape, we must embrace modern project-management demands and move beyond outdated practices.

I look forward to addressing these challenges and working toward innovative solutions that will allow our member companies to excel in this highly competitive marketplace. Together, we can achieve greatness.
