THE FINAL DAYS OF SUMMER

To begin with, a big congratulations to Johnny Barnes of TriCoast Building Group LLC for accepting the role as the new president of AWCI. Wishing you success in your endeavor. I would also like to extend my appreciation to Travis Winsor of The Raymond Group for his presidency over the past year. Thank you for your leadership and all that you have contributed to the industry.

Although we’ve completed our negotiations with the New York City District Council of Carpenters for a five-year Collective Bargaining Agreement, we continue discussions on how the rate increases will be applied. We will update our membership once we come to a final conclusion on this item. Stay tuned.

On a final note, I hope to see you all at the upcoming AWCI Industry Executives’ Conference and Committee in Hollywood, California. Enjoy what is left of the hot, steamy summer.
